Dayton Area Harp Ensemble

About Dayton Area Harp Ensemble
The Dayton Area Harp Ensemble (DAHE) was created in the fall of 1980 by the late Joan Seymour, professional harpist with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra and teacher. It was comprised of 13 students of all ages and levels. Since that time, DAHE has performed more than 100 Celtic, holiday, pop, classical concerts, worship services and programs throughout the extended Miami Valley area, Michigan, Virginia, and New York. The personnel have changed – there have been more than 72 harpists in DAHE during the last 35 years, and we’ve added flute, violin, cello and percussion to make the music more joyous and entertaining for all ages.
Ron Kindell is the conductor of DAHE. He is a graduate of the College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati, and has been active in the Miami Valley area music, broadcast and education circles for over 35 years. His conducting experience is wide-ranging, including founding conductor of the Miami Valley Symphony Orchestra, musical director for Muse Machine musicals, Kettering Theater Under the Stars and Dayton Playhouse. He is a member of the Board of Directors at the Dayton Playhouse.
Bobbie Strobhar is the coordinator of DAHE and is a professional harpist and instructor. Her personal website is: http://bobbiestrobharharp.com/. She has been a member of DAHE for over 25 years.
